Environmental Synergies in Development (ENSYDE) is an organisation with an aim to reduce the environmental footprint of organizations, establishments and institutions in India. ENSYDE was established in 2003 as a consultancy organization and registered as a Trust in 2016 to continue its service towards conservation and betterment of our environment. At ENSYDE we strongly believe in breaking barriers to environmental sustainability in the interface areas of energy, water and waste.Environmental awareness and experiential learning is deeply ingrained into our solutions to affect behavioural change towards the environment.

Currently the CEO & Founder of ENSYDE, Manvel has over 30 years of experience in environmental management, climate change mitigation, and education. With work experience in many countries, Manvel comes with a wide-range of program management experience, donor relations and project implementation.
Manvel has worked in Chemonics International, Princeton Energy Resources Institute, Climate Change Capital and The Energy Resources Institute, among other organisations. She has a Masters in Environmental Studies from University of Aberdeen, Scotland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science from St. Joseph’s College, Bangalore University, India.

Currently the Managing Trustee of ENSYDE, Ajeeth has been working on a number of social sector initiatives in the areas of environment protection, livelihood creation and education since 2016. Prior to this, he worked in the corporate sector for over 25 years with an equal amount of time spent in both the United States and in India and has had the opportunity to work with customers and partners in the US, UK, Europe, India, Australia and the Asia-Pacific regions.
Ajeeth’s experience includes a wide spectrum of executive leadership roles in Strategy, Sales & Marketing and Operations functions in large global corporates, small startups and not-for-profits. His strength lies in his ability to think strategically and execute relentlessly by building high performance teams and individuals. His professional experience confirms a passion to continuously learn and experiment in very diverse sectors.

As ITC Infotech’s Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) earlier, Anand Talwar managed the company’s global Human Capital function.
With over 35 years of experience, Anand started his career in the manufacturing industry, where he handled various responsibilities encompassing human relations management, staff training, welfare and industrial relations. In 1996, Anand transitioned to the services industry, where he set up a start-up in the telecom space, when the cellular industry in India was deregulated. As a core member of the start up operation, his mandate included setting up the management team and establishing the systems and processes required for ensuring effective delivery of services.
Anand joined ITC Infotech in 2001, and from 70 employees, he has helped build an organization of 8500+ professionals spread across the globe. He has been instrumental in building a ‘world-class’ organization at ITC Infotech, through strategic interventions in talent management practices and by ensuring that the organization has the necessary competitive edge through ‘knowledge leaders’. In addition, Anand is also championing ITC Infotech’s interests in the areas of Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility and Projects.
An industry stalwart, Anand has been featured by leading publications, and has addressed multiple industry events and conferences, sharing practical real-world insights and the latest developments in Human Capital management. A mentor to many, Anand takes keen interest in guiding young professionals and grooming them to take on leadership positions.
Anand holds an M.B.A. from the University of Rochester, USA. He has keen interests in the areas of organizational behavior and social service. Anand is the recipient of The Global HR Excellence Award – 2008/09.
K T Suresh or “KT” as he is known, is a professional who facilitates ‘Change and Leadership development’ and strategy in organizations and communities. For the last 30 years he has worked with a variety of organizations, enabling them to develop leadership and/or to, initiate, sustain and institutionalize change. He works only on medium to long-term interventions with defined objectives or observable results or impacts. Some of the interventions KT has been part of are: Action Aid – currently leads the national work on urban and labour – Executive Director – YUVA, Mumbai, National Director Amnesty International India and Coordinator EQUATIONS. His current work includes securing rights and sustainable livelihood through collective action and education for people dependent on the informal economy in India.
Dr Srivastava is the incoming Deputy Director General – Science of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA), Vienna. Dr Srivastava brings extensive experience to the position, and will provide interdisciplinary scientific leadership to the Institute, so as to ensure that IIASA research stays at the forefront of scientific endeavor. She has been Vice Chancellor of the TERI School of Advanced Studies, New Delhi – an inter-disciplinary higher education institution, focused on sustainable development – since 2012. Prior to this she worked for over three decades on research in the areas of energy, environment and climate change policies at The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI), including nearly nine years as Executive Director.
She is a member of various committees and boards both at the international and national levels. Currently, she serves as the Co-Chair of the Science Advisory Group for the UNSG’s Global Climate Action Summit, a Co-Chair on the Science Advisory Committee of Future Earth and a Member of the ADB President’s Advisory Group on Climate and Sustainable Development, among others. In 2008, the Prime Minister of the Republic of France awarded Dr Srivastava with the Knight of the Order of Academic Palms (Chevalier dans l’Ordre des Palmes Académiques). She has also received a Certificate of Recognition from the Prime Minister of India, Dr Manmohan Singh, and the IPCC for her contribution to the work of the IPCC. She was also been invited to be a Richard von Weizsacker Fellow of the Robert Bosch Stiftung in 2012/13.
She has nearly thirty five years of experience in the fields of energy and environment, including climate change, policy and economics. She has a Masters in Economics from the University of Hyderabad and a Ph.D in Energy Economics from the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore, India.
