Description: ENSYDE has designed and developed environmental learning through experience and fun for school children. We work with students from grades 5-10 to stimulate their minds to various environmental issues. The students are exposed to the overall issue, and then in groups implement a project that takes them from understanding the issue, to surveying it, to analysing the data to providing possible solutions. Focus areas are energy, water and waste. Students learning outcomes include - Environmental, Ethical, and Scientific Sensitization. Impact Delivered: Having implemented this program in 3 schools to date, ENSYDE has sensitized over 500 students. Projects implemented by the students include rainwater harvesting in homes; evaluating blocked drains in their neighbourhood; water quality of the lake in the vicinity; etc.
